  • What qualifications do I need to charter a bareboat sailing?

    For bareboat charters in Greece are required at least two crew with sailing experience.The skipper should have an authorized sailing certificate translated in English,if not issued by an EU member state.Additionally co-skipper should provide either a similar certification or a signed statement from harbor authority that confirms the sailing experience.


  • When do I need a skipper onboard?

    If you don't have a sailing certificate you have to hire a skipper.Anchors Away can recommend you a professional skipper for your holidays.Even if you are an experienced sailor,a skipper can make your holidays more relaxing and also he can transmit you his local knowledge.

  • How do I book a boat?

    Choose the area and type of yacht you prefer,along with your dates and contact us to check availability.In case you are interested in our offer hold an option for seven days.Before the option will be expired you have to confirm the booking.After the booking confirmation we will send you a Charter Party Agreement,which should be signed and returned back to us.After one month upon signing first payment should be sent.For bookings within thirty days of departure,full payments should be made with the Charter Party Agreement.


  • Payment Procedure:

    You have to debit a first payment of 50% of the yacht charter fees at latest 10 days after the contract is signed. The balance payment should be paid 30 days before charter's departure. Skipper and/or hostess are payable in cash only, upon embarkation. Personal checks,traveller cheques, certified bank cheques are NOT accepted.

    NOTE: No charter may begin in case ANCHORS AWAY does not receive the full payment in Greece prior to embarkation.

  • What is Refundable Security Deposit?

    The Refundable Security Deposit has to be paid upon embarkation.If there is no damage or loss to the yacht or its equipment,your security deposit will be refunded at the end of the charter.If there is a damage and/or loss, a full cover of the cost will deducted and the balance will be returned.Cost of failed delivering the yacht to its agreed destination as well as refueling can be paid from the deposit. 

  • Which is the time schedule for check in/out?

    Usually charters start and end on Saturday.In case you prefer different days we can offer the boat,if there is availability.All charters begin at 17:00 on the day of departure and end at 18:00 on the day of return with an overnight onboard until the following morning at 9:00.


  • Cancellation policy:

    We calculate cancellation fees based on the period of time between the date of cancellation and the departure date as follows: 

    A) Cancel 99 days or more before departure then 3% (dossier's expenses) is retained.
    B) Cancel 98-60 days before departure then 30% of the yacht fees is retained. 
    C) Cancel 59-30 days before departure then 50% of the yacht fees are is retained. 
    D) Cancel 29-0 days before departure then 100% of the yacht fees is retained. 


    We return cancellation fee in all or in part, if the yacht under cancellation is re-chartered under the same conditions.
